Every great children’s book begins with a single idea. Whether you’re an aspiring author, educator, parent, illustrator or storyteller, “From Idea to Publication” is designed to equip you with the practical knowledge, creative skills and industry insights needed to transform your idea into a professionally publishable children’s book.

Facilitated by award-winning author, filmmaker and literacy advocate Sihle-isipho Nontshokweni, this course provides a step-by-step guide through the children’s publishing journey; from story development and character creation to illustration, publishing, marketing and building your author brand. Participants will gain the confidence and practical tools to create stories that inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Fees: R5 500,00

Date: Monday, 14 September 2026 – Thursday, 08 October 2026 (Online)

Duration: 16-20 hours, spread over 6 weeks and maximum of two months.
