By purchasing a ticket, entering the festival site, or participating in any activities at Tamu Fest, you agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions below.
1.1 All attendees, vendors, artists, crew and staff must comply with these Terms & Conditions. 1.2 The organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions at any time. 1.3 Entry to the event constitutes acceptance of all rules, safety notices and instructions from officials.
2.1 All tickets are issued subject to availability and capacity limits. 2.2 Tickets are non-refundable except as per the Refund Policy. 2.3 Tickets may only be purchased via the official ticketing platform or authorised partners. 2.4 Duplicated, resold (outside official resale), or tampered tickets may be denied entry. 2.5 Attendees must present a valid ticket and ID on arrival. 2.6 Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
3.1 The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or remove anyone who:
behaves in a disorderly, disruptive, aggressive or unsafe manner
is intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances, or engaging in illegal activity
fails to comply with security instructions or festival rules
3.2 No refund will be issued to individuals removed from the event. 3.3 Re-entry is allowed but may require going through security checks again.
4.1 Bag checks, vehicle searches, and random screenings may occur at any time. 4.2 Strictly prohibited items include (but are not limited to):
Firearms, weapons, or sharp objects
Illegal substances
Fireworks or explosives
Gas stoves (unless in designated camping areas)
Glass bottles
Drones (unless pre-approved)
Laser pointers
Open Fires or Braai Stands
4.3 Attendees enter the venue at their own risk. 4.4 The organiser is not liable for injury, loss, theft, damage or death unless caused by proven negligence. 4.5 Medical and emergency teams will be on site for the duration of the festival.
5.1 Only attendees with valid camping tickets may access the camping areas. 5.2 Campers must follow all campsite safety rules, including fire restrictions. 5.3 No vehicles are allowed inside the camping area except in designated car-to-camp zones. 5.4 Keep campsites clean; failure may result in removal from the festival. 5.5 Tamu Fest is not responsible for theft or damage to items left at campsites.
6.1 Parking is at the vehicle owner’s own risk. 6.2 Vehicles must only be parked in designated areas. 6.3 Sleeping in vehicles is not permitted due to safety protocols. 6.4 Violators may be removed without refund.
7.1 BYO alcohol rules will be clearly communicated for camping and general areas (as per licensing laws). 7.2 No under-18 may consume alcohol. 7.3 Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. 7.4 Anyone caught dealing or using illegal substances will be removed and handed over to authorities.
8.1 Only pre-approved food stalls and vendors may trade at the event. 8.2 No unauthorised selling of food, drinks, or merchandise is permitted on-site. 8.3 Guests may bring limited personal snacks (subject to bag checks).
9.1 Tamu Fest is family-friendly; dedicated kids’ areas will operate at specific times. 9.2 Parents/guardians are fully responsible for supervising children at all times. 9.3 The organiser is not responsible for lost children due to lack of supervision.
10.1 By entering, attendees consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use. 10.2 All media captured by festival photographers may be used across Tamu Fest platforms without compensation. 10.3 Personal photography is permitted; drones require written approval.
11.1 All vendors must sign the vendor agreement and submit required documents. 11.2 Vendor fees follow the date-based refund rules unless stated otherwise. 11.3 Vendors must comply with all health & safety guidelines.
12.1 Lost items will be collected at the designated Lost & Found station. 12.2 Items not claimed within 14 days will be donated or discarded. 12.3 Tamu Fest is not responsible for lost personal belongings.
13.1 The event will continue in most weather conditions unless safety is compromised. 13.2 Severe weather may result in temporary evacuation, relocation, or postponement. 13.3 No refunds will be issued for weather disruptions unless covered in the Refund Policy.
14.1 The organiser is not liable for refunds or compensation due to events beyond their control, including:
extreme weather
natural disasters
government regulations
strikes, riots or civil unrest
national emergencies
pandemics
In such cases, tickets will be transferred to a new date.
15.1 Attendees participate at their own risk. 15.2 The organiser is not liable for injuries, losses, damages, or disputes unless caused by proven negligence. 15.3 Attendees are responsible for their own possessions and vehicles.
