Covid 19 Compliance

• Face coverings will be mandatory for patrons. Patrons will not be allowed access to the building without a face mask. • Temperature checks of patrons will be part of the entrance process at the gates. • A security or designated person wearing a face shield and gloves will ensure temperature checks of all patrons and conduct a brief visual screening for observable symptoms of fever or infection. • We will use hand-held non-contact temperature readers and walk-through readers for scanning patrons. • Should patrons register a temperature reading of 37.3oC or higher, an immediate second reading will be done. • If the higher reading is confirmed with the second scan, the patron will be required to complete a symptom check and questionnaire based on DoH requirements. • Should the patron answer positively to any of the questions, the patron will not be permitted into the festival and will have their tickets refunded. • Security will execute standard operating procedures in relation to minimising COVID-19 transmissions. • The enforcement of social distancing and patron temperature screening as well as movement of patrons in the venue will form part of their duties and responsibilities. • 4. All ushers deployed will assist in implementing the COVID-19 protocols at entrance or exit points including main entrances and entrances to auditorium. Ushers will also assist with capacity management in terms of social distancing. • We have established routes / flow of traffic to performance venues as follows: - Entrance for patrons to the venues will be via entrance one and two. - On arrival, patrons will be required to sanitise their hands. - Patrons will be directed to the festival according to the type of tickets presented. - Announcements will be made to patrons on how to proceed to their designated seats and the routes to be followed. • Restrooms - Patrons will facilitate access to bathrooms to ensure that bathrooms are not overcrowded. - A member of the cleaning staff will be assigned as toilet monitor and will be stationed outside the toilet advising patrons when the toilet is full, manage queue lines and redirect patrons to other toilets. - Within toilets areas, some cubicles and urinals will be monitored in order to ensure social distancing. - Patrons will be made aware when using toilets through means of visual communication within toilets and during safety briefs of the following information. - Closing lids when flushing in order to contain droplets - Washing of hands - Using paper towel - Using paper towel when opening cubicle doors and disposing of paper towel inside the toilet bins • Announcements • - Announcements will be made to patrons to remind them of safety protocols including to sanitise their hands and to maintain social distance. • Exit Management - At the end of a performance, patrons will be directed to leave the festival in a manner that observes social distancing. - Patrons closest to exits will be required to leave first by row or stall in order to clear space for patrons further inside to follow. - Ushers and security will assist patrons making sure that they understand the procedure and comply will social distancing requirements until they are outside the theatre.
