MACHeF UBUNTU DRAW: TERMS OF BELONGING:

Where Every Ticket is a Brushstroke Preamble: Why We Gather. This is not a lottery. It is not gambling. It is a Community Resource Mobilisation Ceremony – a gathering of hands, a stitching of hearts. In the spirit of Ubuntu – I am because we are – your ticket is not paper, it is a seed. A seed planted in the soil of Siyanqoba, watered by youth, heritage, food, and dignity. You are not buying a chance. You are becoming part of an artwork.

I. The Ticket – A Sacred Contract. Your ticket is a living thread, non-refundable, non-transferable, like a name given at birth. Lose it not, for it carries your voice in our chorus. If the winds cancel our gathering, the earth will return what is hers – a full refund within 14 sunrises to the hand that gave.

II. The Circle of Trust – POPIA & Care. Your name, your number, your story – we hold it as we hold clay. Used only to call you home when you win, and to whisper our work. We do not sell your shadow. In line with POPIA, your data rests in a guarded pot, never traded at the market of strangers.

III. The Witness – Transparency as Theatre. No trick of light. No hidden hand. The draw shall be video-recorded, a performance of truth, for all to see – as open as a village courtyard. Board and Staff may dance in the circle and buy a ticket, but they shall never be the drummers who decide the beat. They shall not witness.

IV. The Winners – Those Called by Name. You must have walked 18 rains. You must belong to this soil – South African. Come with your ID, your Passport, your Driver's – your face must match your name, and your ticket must sing the same song. We shall call you three times – on the wind of social media, in the letter of email, in the whisper of SMS.

You have 30 moons to claim your gift. After that, your gift does not die – it transforms. It becomes bricks for the art center, seeds for the garden, books for the child. A public notice shall be sung. Prizes are like love – not transferable, not exchangeable for cold cash, unless we tell you so. But if a gift breaks, we may replace it with one of equal or greater beauty, with your blessing. And yes, beautiful winner – you may be asked to stand in the light, to smile for the archive, so others may see that Ubuntu works. No coins for this, only honour.

V. The Regenerative Promise – Sustainability as Art. This is exhibition. This is cultural expression. This is emotional labour made visible. Every Rand re-allocated from unclaimed prizes shall not vanish – it shall regenerate. It shall become: A stitch in a young woman's skill, A note in a heritage song, A plate of food that restores dignity. VI. The Grievance – When the Drum Skips. If your heart is heavy, write to us within 7 days of the drumbeat. The MACHeF Grievance Committee – a council of elders and youth – shall answer within 5 working days. Their word, like a final brushstroke, is final. Contact our Keeper of the Circle:

VII. Final Verse. By entering, you agree to be bound – not by chain, but by rhythm. MACHeF reserves the right to retune these strings with 7 days' notice. Participation is at your own risk, yet never alone – for you are held by community. MACHeF is not liable for tickets lost by wind, damaged by rain, or delayed by taxi. For this is art.
