Women Beret’s is the brainchild of Kelebogile Nthatisi, a young woman from Thaba Nchu Zone 4 Founder of WOMEN BERET'S PICNIC... Movement aimed at empowering other women by inviting them to listen to testimonies of other survivors of domestic violence. The movement seeks to advocate against any form of domestic violence against women and children, encouraging women to break the silence and seek professional help.
The picnic will be an event whereby women will be gathered together for one common purpose which is to stand together and say enough to our sister’s abuse. Problem We have seen that in our communities, women and child abuse is prevalent. That those who have went through being violated have lost their voice and self-esteem.
We will be encouraging women to break the silence about domestic violence and stop the stigma surrounding gender-based violence while also advising them!
