Umdaniso weeNkonde aims to:

- Address the neglect of the elderly in the entertainment space, as most events cater primarily to younger audiences. This event seeks to provide a platform for the elderly to enjoy themselves collectively while reminiscing about the past.

spirit through music and celebration.

"Umdaniso weenkonde" is a competitive event designed specifically for the elderly, featuring dance competitions, known as umdaniso which are typically performed in pairs. Registration will be opened for participants, and prizes will be awarded based on the evaluations of a panel of judges. In addition to the dance competition, we will engage a variety of stakeholders, including the Department of Health, to provide educational resources on wellness, and hire stylists to style our competitors.

Community involvement will be integral to the event, including transportation arrangements for the elderly participants. This gathering will serve as a "retreat" for the elderly, featuring a lineup of entertainment tailored to their preferences.
