Thomas Mapfumo Music Concert

Thomas Tafirenyika “Mukanya” Mapfumo was born in Marondera, Zimbabwe in 1945. He is an international recognised artist having performed alongside Bob Marley & the Wailers to celebrate the Independence of Zimbabwe (Africa). He has also shared the stage with with Elton John in England. In 1999, at the University of Zimbabwe, he was awarded the Honorary Master’s degree in recognition of his advocacy for freedom. In 2000 he was Sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation on global tour (USA, Australia, Asia and Europe). He is known for quite a lot of remarkable things in music. He will be performing live at Pamuzinda Hotel in Benoni. The day will be filled with fun activities for the family which include braai and jumping castles during the day and drinks will be available for the whole day.
