The New Age African Man

The Roodepoort Theatre and Lockdown Media are bringing you a new experience in The New Age African Man. A one-man, stand-up comedy show with Tebogo Ntlhane. 

In this show, Tebogo Ntlhane will be exploring the collision of an old traditional perspective of the African man – particularly from the international community – against the contemporary reality of an African man in the new age. Also, juxtaposing things like witchcraft and technology, traditional and modern living, etc.

The show will be happening on Friday, the 6th of May 2022 and starts at 7pm. Tickets are available at the theatre box office for just R200.

The New Age African Man also will be recorded live at the event.

Tebogo Ntlhane is popular around the west rand after a continued successful run of Westside Comedy Jam, also at the Roodepoort Theatre. He is a young South African comedian, whose fresh brand comedy is based on reality, life experience, human behaviour, and observation from his daily life. His comedy appeals to audience irrespective of age, gender, race, class, religion and size. With his contagiously funny stage presence Tebogo is also an amazing MC, actor, motivational speaker and an all-round entertainer.

He incorporates his fresh perspective on these after serious matters in his comedy. He has hosted and featured on The Disclaimer on SA FM, Comedy Thursdays Host at Corner One Klipfontein View, Savana Comics’ Choice Awards Newcomer showcase, Pop Art Theatre, Parkers’ Comedy and Jive in Monte Casino, just to name a few. He has also founded the Lovers Plus Comedy Show and Doctor’s Prescription Comedy Shows.
