Sunset Concerts - Albert Frost and Arno Carstens

Helderberg Nature Reserve Sunset Concert Series 2022/23 Season is upon us and we're back with a bang and we are blessed to live in a town rich with musical talent!

Albert Frost and Arno Carstens take to the stage as a Double Header in the forth concert of the Sunset Concert Series. Albert and Arno who both have their own bands have performed a number of songs together over the years.

Arno Carstens is a musician and artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. During his career as the lead singer of The Springbok Nude Girls, and subsequently as a solo artist, Arno has released multiple albums, and won numerous awards including Best Rock Album, Best Alternative Album & Song of the Year. Over the years, Arno’s passion for all things art has continued to overflow. In 2007 he took a break from both songwriting and touring and began working with his first love, oil on canvas. His first solo fine art exhibition was in 2012 at The Lovell Gallery in Woodstock. His artwork now sells internationally from his online store or through pop up art and live music events which are hosted by him on a regular basis. Arno continues to release and tour new music.

Albert Frost is a familiar and respected feature of the South African blues-rock music scene. For the past two decades, the energetic performances of this accomplished guitarist have dazzled audiences as he deftly alternates between rhythm and lead, while showcasing acoustic and electric guitars. His first love is blues, stemming from the influence of his long relationship with the Blues Broers with whom he has performed since 1994 up until 2015.  He has recorded with Arno Carstens and various other prominent bands as well as supporting the Rolling Stones. His patent enjoyment of the music he performs and his instruments as well as his charming rapport with the audience, keeps his admirers captivated and returning for more.
