The street-car vibe in Cape Town is loud, proud and in your face, fuelled by enthusiasts who grew up with the Fast and Furious movies and who wouldn’t be caught dead driving a standard car.
They love start-line burnouts, violent launches off the line, drifting, spinning, stance cars, glittering wraps and megawatt sound systems. And that’s where StreetFest was born: On the streets of Cape Town.
It’s more than a Drag Racing event – it’s a petrolhead party with MSA Drag Racing on the drag strip, an All-Day Rallycross Super Special, together with Drifting, on the World Rallycross circuit and a world-ranked IASCA Sound-Off in the Joubert Pits alongside the Drag Strip.
It’s where the Cape Flats meets Mitchells Plain and Atlantis to speak a common language of ‘Beams’ and 2JZ’s, where roofs get (metaphorically speaking) ripped off and sometimes the spectators make more noise than the cars!
It’s always the last motorsport event of the year and the Killarney family leave nothing at home – ‘haal uit en wys’ is the order of the day, in drifting and spinning on Killarney’s gynormous new purpose-built Sunset Spinning Pitch, on the Drag Strip and in the Sound-Off.
And yes, it’s about family: Spectator tickets cost R100 for adults, R40 for appies under 16 and FREE for hooligans-in-training under 12 years old, as well as for Western Province Motor Club Members on production of their membership book at the gate. For that you get a whole day of tyre smoke, adrenalin and family fun, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. There’s cold drinks and hot food (including halaal) available from a number of vendors around the facility, so you’ll never have far to go for a snack or a Coke, wherever you are.
Bring your gazebo, your cooler box and your skottelbraai and celebrate the power and the glory with us – this is the day when the Street is King.

Refund policy
You may cancel any booking submitted to us for tickets that have not yet been issued to you at any time prior to the date of the event to which such booking pertains by sending a cancellation notice to info@computicket.com or calling our Customer Care Centre on +27 (0)11 340 8000 or 0861 915 8000. You may also cancel and return any issued tickets acquired from us at any time prior to the scheduled date of the event to which they apply by handing in your tickets at any of our Money Market kiosks. When you cancel your booking or return your tickets you must provide us with the relevant booking number. Following receipt of your booking cancellation or returned tickets, we will refund you the face value paid for the relevant tickets (or, if a discounted ticket, then instead the discounted ticket price paid), provided that reasonable cancellation charges as determined by the Event Organiser may be charged and deducted from such refund. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Event Organiser and depending on the prevailing circumstances the following cancellation charges may apply: - If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the event a 15% cancellation fee will apply; - If the cancellation occurs less than 30 but more than 7 days prior to the event a 50% cancellation fee will apply; - If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days prior to the event a 100% cancellation fee will apply; - Notwithstanding the aforesaid, if you can provide us with suitable documentary proof that a person in whose name a ticket was booked will not be able to attend the event because of his/her death and/or hospitalisation, no cancellation fee will apply in respect of the cancellation of such person`s ticket.
