TERMS & CONDITIONS

By purchasing a ticket, entering the event, or participating in SLOVO FEST, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
1. TICKETS
1.1 All tickets are valid only for SLOVO FEST 2026 on 05 December 2026, unless otherwise communicated by the organiser.
1.2 Tickets must be purchased through authorised ticketing channels. The organiser is not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorised third parties.
1.3 Each ticket permits one person to enter the event unless otherwise stated.
1.4 Tickets may not be duplicated, altered, resold fraudulently or used for unauthorised commercial purposes.
1.5 The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry where a ticket is suspected to be counterfeit, duplicated, unlawfully obtained or otherwise invalid.
2. TICKET PHASES
2.1 SLOVO FEST may release tickets in different phases, including Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3.
2.2 Ticket prices may increase as phases sell out.
2.3 A ticket purchased during an earlier phase will not be refunded or repriced if a later phase is introduced at a different price.
2.4 VIP Backstage Passes are subject to the access limitations communicated by the organiser. A VIP ticket does not automatically guarantee access to every backstage, artist, production or restricted area.
3. EVENT ENTRY
3.1 All attendees are subject to security screening before entering the event.
3.2 The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a person from the event where that person's behaviour presents a safety, security or disruption risk.
3.3 No person may enter restricted, staff-only, artist, production or backstage areas without the required accreditation or authorisation.
3.4 Re-entry is permitted only if specifically authorised by the organiser.
4. PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following may not be brought into the event:
- Weapons or dangerous objects
- Illegal drugs or substances
- Unauthorised alcohol
- Fireworks or explosives
- Items that may endanger other attendees
- Unauthorised professional recording equipment
- Any other item prohibited by the organiser, venue, security personnel or relevant authorities
Security personnel may conduct searches in accordance with applicable law and event procedures.
5. SAFETY & SECURITY
5.1 Attendees must follow all reasonable instructions from security personnel, event staff, emergency personnel and authorised officials.
5.2 Attendees are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner that does not endanger themselves or others.
5.3 The organiser reserves the right to temporarily suspend, delay, relocate or stop parts of the event where reasonably necessary for safety, security, weather, emergency circumstances, venue requirements or instructions from relevant authorities.
South African event-safety law provides for event risk categorisation, safety certificates, security measures, access control and public-liability arrangements, where applicable.
6. EVENT CHANGES
6.1 The organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event programme, schedule, performers, activities, venue arrangements or production.
6.2 Artist and performer line-ups may change due to circumstances beyond the organiser's reasonable control.
6.3 A change to an individual performer does not automatically constitute cancellation of the entire event.
7. POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELLATION
7.1 The organiser reserves the right to postpone, reschedule or cancel the event where circumstances make it necessary or reasonably required, including severe weather, safety concerns, government or authority instructions, venue issues, emergencies, performer circumstances or other events beyond the organiser's reasonable control.
7.2 Where the event is officially cancelled or materially changed, any applicable refund, credit or alternative arrangement will be communicated through the official ticketing platform and in accordance with applicable law and the ticketing terms.
7.3 The organiser will not be responsible for additional personal expenses incurred by attendees, including transport, accommodation, food or other costs, except where required by applicable law.
8. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
8.1 Ticket purchases are subject to the applicable consumer-protection laws and the terms of the authorised ticketing provider.
8.2 Where a consumer has a legal right to cancel or obtain a refund, that right will not be excluded by these Terms & Conditions.
8.3 Refund procedures will be communicated through the authorised ticketing provider where applicable.
8.4 The organiser may apply reasonable cancellation arrangements where legally permitted.
9. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
9.1 Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings.
9.2 The organiser does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal property except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
9.3 Lost property should be reported to event staff as soon as possible.
10. PERSONAL INJURY
10.1 Attendees must take reasonable care of themselves and others while attending the event.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
10.3 Attendees must comply with safety instructions and emergency procedures at all times.
11. CONDUCT
11.1 SLOVO FEST is intended to be a safe and enjoyable community event.
11.2 Fighting, harassment, threatening behaviour, vandalism, theft, disorderly conduct or behaviour that creates a safety risk will not be tolerated.
11.3 The organiser may remove any attendee who seriously breaches these rules, subject to applicable law.
11.4 Removal from the event due to misconduct does not automatically entitle the attendee to a refund, subject to applicable law.
12. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MEDIA
12.1 SLOVO FEST may be photographed, filmed and recorded for promotional, editorial, social-media and archival purposes.
12.2 By attending the event, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or recordings of the event, subject to applicable law.
12.3 Official SLOVO FEST media may be used by the organiser for future promotional purposes.
13. CHILDREN & MINORS
13.1 Parents, guardians or responsible adults are responsible for minors attending the event.
13.2 The organiser reserves the right to apply age restrictions to specific areas or activities where required for safety, licensing or legal reasons.
14. VIP & BACKSTAGE ACCESS
14.1 VIP access is limited to the areas and benefits specifically communicated by SLOVO FEST.
14.2 Backstage access does not guarantee interaction, photographs or access to artists, performers, management, production staff or other restricted personnel.
14.3 Backstage and restricted areas remain subject to security, capacity and production requirements.
14.4 VIP privileges may be withdrawn where a guest breaches event rules or creates a safety or security concern.
15. SPONSORS, VENDORS & THIRD PARTIES
15.1 SLOVO FEST may include independent vendors, sponsors, service providers and third-party activations.
15.2 Any purchase or transaction made directly with a third-party vendor is between the attendee and that vendor, subject to applicable law.
15.3 The organiser is not responsible for independent third-party products or services except where the law provides otherwise.
16. EVENT AUTHORITY
16.1 The organiser and authorised event staff have reasonable authority to enforce these Terms & Conditions and maintain the safety and orderly operation of SLOVO FEST.
16.2 Attendees must comply with reasonable instructions from authorised event personnel.
17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
17.1 The organiser may update these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the event, venue requirements, applicable law or operational arrangements.
17.2 The latest applicable version will be made available through the official SLOVO FEST communication or ticketing channels.
18. GOVERNING LAW
18.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
18.2 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or limit any legal rights that consumers have under applicable South African law.
19. ACCEPTANCE
By purchasing a SLOVO FEST ticket or entering the event, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.
