The programme will include a short planetarium presentation on “The Sky this Month”.
Accelerating Space Domain Awareness: How Slingshot is Contributing to Make Space Safer
Join us for an evening of exploration and discovery as we explore the problems facing the space domain, and how Slingshot Aerospace is working to fix them.
Highlights include:
? A presentation from a Slingshot Global Telescope Network representative, Max Geissbuhler (Manager, Global Sensor Network Expansion)
? Descriptions of the products that Slingshot offers to enhance space domain awareness
? Imagery taken by the global sensor network, including imagery of Cosmos 1408 following its destruction by an anti-satellite (ASAT) weapon in 2021
? Q&A session
The Slingshot Global Sensor Network is the world’s first and only day/night optical LEO-to-GEO satellite tracking service that informs operator action to help protect against on-orbit hazards and threats.
At this event, we'll be joined by Max Geissbuhler who is the Manager of “Global Sensor Network Expansion,” whose work focuses on identifying new telescope sites around the world and deploying Slingshot's proprietary systems to those sites. He will share information on the Global Sensor Network, giving you a glimpse into the world of satellite tracking technology.
You'll also have the chance to ask questions and learn about the various projects that Slingshot is working on to help ensure a safe space environment for the thousands of satellites on which modern society has become so dependent. This event is open to the public, so don't miss out on this unique opportunity!
