STATE OF THE PEOPLE’S ADDRESS (SOPA)
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the SOPA “Win a Car” Giveaway (“Competition”) conducted by STATE OF THE PEOPLE’S ADDRESS (“SOPA”), in accordance with Section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Promotional Competition Regulations. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 The Competition is open to all South African citizens aged 18 years and older residing within South Africa.
1.2 Employees, directors, agents, and immediate family members of SOPA or any affiliated partners are not eligible to enter.
1.3 The Competition commences on 15 November 2025 and closes on 10 December 2025. Entries received after this date will not be considered. Tickets are non-refundable
1.4 The prize consists of a pre-loved 2016 Mercedes-Benz A200 AMG, including one year of free vehicle tracking and comprehensive insurance.
2.1 Eligible participants may enter by purchasing an entry through Computicket or Shoprite Money Market during the competition period.
2.2 Each valid entry will automatically be entered into the random draw.
2.3 Entries that are incomplete, unclear, or contain false information will be disqualified. 2.4 No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, delayed, or misdirected due to network, system, or technical issues.
3.1 The winner will be selected via a random raffle draw conducted under independent supervision.
3.2 The draw will take place after the closing date, and the winner will be announced live on Facebook.
3.3 SOPA will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner via the contact details provided.
3.4 If the winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days, SOPA reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
3.5 The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
4.1 The winner must provide valid proof of identity and residence before the prize can be awarded.
4.2 The vehicle will be delivered or collected at a mutually agreed location within South Africa.
4.3 The included one-year tracking and insurance will be activated in the winner’s name, subject to standard provider terms and conditions.
4.4 SOPA will not be responsible for any additional costs, including fuel, license renewals, or maintenance, beyond the prize period.
5. General Conditions 5.1 SOPA reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
5.2 By entering, participants consent to their personal information being used solely for the purposes of administering this competition, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
5.3 SOPA’s decision regarding all matters arising from this competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.4 SOPA, its affiliates, or partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of participation in this competition or the acceptance of the prize.
