Ngwathe Summer Experience Festival

NGWATHE SUMMER EXPERIENCE

The Ngwathe Summer Experience is a vibrant festive-season tourism, entertainment and lifestyle programme presented by the Edgar Legoale Foundation as part of the broader Ngwathe Experience tourism movement.

Taking place during December, the programme is designed to celebrate summer, homecoming and the festive season while positioning Parys, Tumahole and the greater Ngwathe area as a destination for entertainment, adventure, family leisure, culture and unforgettable experiences.

Ngwathe Summer Experience brings together music, outdoor adventure, river activities, food, lifestyle experiences, sport, family entertainment and local business participation, creating opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the very best of Ngwathe during one of South Africa’s busiest travel periods.

More than an entertainment programme, Ngwathe Summer Experience is about tourism with local impact. It seeks to attract visitors into the area, increase spending at local accommodation establishments, restaurants and businesses, create temporary employment opportunities, provide platforms for SMMEs and informal traders, support artists and creatives, and strengthen the local township and tourism economy.

From the energy of Tumahole and the lifestyle attractions of Parys, to the Vaal River, Vredefort Dome, Koppies Dam and the wider Ngwathe tourism landscape, the Summer Experience invites people to come home, explore, celebrate and discover everything Ngwathe has to offer.

It forms part of the three flagship seasonal programmes of the Ngwathe Experience — Easter, Spring and Summer — building towards a year-round destination brand that promotes Ngwathe as a place to visit, experience, invest in and return to.

This December, summer has a destination. Welcome to the Ngwathe Summer Experience.

Experience Ngwathe. Support Local. Celebrate Summer.
