for Mental Health Awareness Walk
  1. Participants must wear their official race number on the chest.

  2. No one is allowed to walk using another person's race number.

  3. Participants must obey traffic officers, marshals and officials at all times.

  4. Children participating in the walk must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  5. The time limit is 4 hours for all distances.

  6. Participants are allowed to wear plain clothing.

  7. Do not litter. Dispose of any refuse or cups responsibly using the boxes provided or carry them to the finish. Report offenders to the referees / officials.

  8. Participants in this event do so at their own risk and release and discharge the organisers, sponsors and all persons assisting in staging the event from any responsibility, liability or costs relating to any injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, however caused, arising directly or indirectly from their participation in the event.

  9. Wheelchair participants must please contact the organisers timeously to discuss arrangements for their participation.

  10. The organisers reserve the right to cancel the Mental Health Awareness Walk at any stage, even after it has commenced, should they, in their sole discretion, decide that it's not in the interest of the walkers or the Mental Health Awareness Walk itself to hold the Mental Health Awareness Walk on account of extremely adverse weather conditions; civil commotion; political unrest; riots; blockades; threats of violence or intimidation; any circumstances where the safety of the walkers is in question or any other good cause. In the event of the Mental Health Awareness Walk being cancelled pursuant to the aforementioned, participants will not be refunded their entry fees. The organisers may in their sole discretion make an ex gratia refund, in whole or in part to the extent that circumstances permit.
