MARAPYANE ANNUAL DITRUPA FEST 2026 is the fourth annual event to be hosted by the #MADFEST team and it promises to be nothing but exhilarating.
The Marapyane Annual Ditrupa Fest has become renowned for its amazing entertainment for the whole family during the day where Ditrupa from surrounding areas showcase their talents. DItrupa or Troops are community celebratory parades that have their origins post World Was 1, where returning soldiers would showcase the military drills learnt in the war while wearing Scottish-inspired military wear. The parades involve singing, dancing and military drills. The entrance for the day event is free for everyone.

Refund policy
Following receipt of your booking cancellation or returned tickets, we will refund you the face value paid for the relevant tickets (or, if a discounted ticket, then instead the discounted ticket price paid), provided that reasonable cancellation charges as determined by the Event Organiser may be charged and deducted from such refund. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Event Organiser and depending on the prevailing circumstances the following cancellation charges may apply: - If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the event a 15% cancellation fee will apply; - If the cancellation occurs less than 30 but more than 7 days prior to the event a 50% cancellation fee will apply; - If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days prior to the event a 100% cancellation fee will apply; - Notwithstanding the aforesaid, if you can provide us with suitable documentary proof that a person in whose name a ticket was booked will not be able to attend the event because of his/her death and/or hospitalisation, no cancellation fee will apply in respect of the cancellation of such person's ticket.
PARKING
Limited paid parking available for General ticket holders. VIP parking is free subject to having a VIP table package or VIP tickets. Subject to availability.
COOLERBOX RULES
ONLY NORMAL SIZED coolerboxes are allowed in GENERAL at a fee of R250. NO Coolerbox Re-entry. NO coolerbox allowed in VIP. Empty Coolerbox allowed in General for free.
EVENT TIMES
The Ditrupa daytime event is free for the whole family from 9AM until 5PM. The tickets get you access to the afterparty. Access to the afterparty is strictly for over 18s.
CASHLESS ENTRANCE
No tickets will be sold at the door. All tickets, including for coolerboxes are available online and instore.
