Most SMME's start business from nothing; with only hunger and zeal for business; and making change in society. They do not have an advantage of experience, exposure and access to opportunities and resources. To make things worse, government's long processes and the slow or "none" response to SMME's business challenges and needs; as well as excessive red tape in their processes; impede progress and growth of small businesses.                

Therefore; Link-Up (SMME's) Business Networking & Awards Event seeks to link and connect SMME's with Big Businesses, to learn the rules of the  game in order to successfully: * Start, Grow and Sustain/Preserve their businesses. * Collectively contribute towards building the SA economy and employment creation.   It’s meant to give adequate SUPPORT and link SMME's to opportunities, resources and access to information, in both public and private sector. This is what will empower and capacitate them to thrive and excel in every area of their businesses and day to day operations.

It's also an opportunity for SMME's to:

*Connect with big businesses operating in the same industries. *Raise their voice and address their challenges in a safe space with relevant parties. *For stakeholders; specifically government agencies to connect and respond directly to SMME's burning issues with regards to challenges facing them.
