Lecholi Mountain Drive and Braai Experience

The Lecholi Mountain Drive and Braai Experience is an annual outdoor initiative by Lecholi (Pty) Ltd, that involves a number of entertainment activities including Vehicle convoy from Maseru town and 4x4 mountain drive, Overnight Camp, Movie night around fire, Braai and music. This has become one of the most famous and rapidly growing events and has a lot of potential with a lot of more possible attractive activities. We are planning our third edition of the event which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 30th and October 1st respectively at Lekhalo-la-Baroa, (Bushmen’s Pass).

The purpose of the event is to bring people together, both local & International Guests to rejoice in different ways and have a memorable experience of the wilderness. We also aim to promote tourism in Lesotho and bring entertainment to people living in rural areas, such as Khalong-La-Baroa. We believe that our event has the potential to attract visitors from outside the country, and we hope that with your support, we can continue to improve and expand the event in the future. The event will be supported by a team of Support services for any arising emergency cases with a rapid response team. Khalong-La-Baroa has been identified as a huge open space to enable social distancing and this will be our Venue for 2023 again and for the foreseeable future. It is the most suitable place for the event of this kind for its amazing and adventurous nature, view point and scenery. It has the most spacious area to accommodate any number of people with ample land for vehicle parking.

Although the place is mountainous, it is reachable by any vehicle and not far from Maseru City, where most of our target audience reside. It has very exciting bends, corners and curves, which makes it appropriate for the intended drive. A Braai event for so many people on this kind of landscape can never be forgotten and definitely has potential to attract people from abroad and become the biggest of its kind in our land. This event will definitely have an indirect influence to draw tourism attraction to other nearby attractive places like Thaba-Bosiu, Qiloane falls and Mohale dam.
