Back by popular demand at The Carousel Casino in March 2022 following the toe-tapping success of their previous shows is the Kofif Entertainment. This time they bring their latest production, Kofifi Goetes to the stage at The Carousel Casino,the show brings to life the sights and sounds of the legendary Sophiatown on 26 March 2022.

A vintage-themed evening, featuring the hottest pantsula, swinging jazz, and a dose of nostalgia, Kofifi Goetes promises a musical trip down memory lane.

Urbanisation in early 20th century South Africa led to the creation of ‘townships’ for migrant labourers. They had their own distinct feel and lifestyles – but none was more famous than Sophiatown, or Kofifi as it was affectionately known.

Fast forward to 2022, and the Kofifi Movement seeks to celebrate and honour those who lived in Sophiatown. Recalling the heady shebeen days, with all its tsotsi fashion and pantsula jive, Kofifi delivers a themed evening quite unlike any other. The hottest DJ’s spin classics to get the blood pumping as fashionistas strut their 50s and 60s style.
