Jacaranda CIty Awards and Festival

The Jacaranda City Awards are an annual celebration of excellence, creativity, and legacy, honoring legends, trailblazers, and rising stars from the Capital City of South Africa – Tshwane/Pretoria – fondly known as Pitori. Inspired by the majestic Jacaranda trees that paint the city purple each spring, these awards symbolize a fresh breath of life, vibrancy, renewal, and the ever-blooming spirit of the city’s people.

Every year, between August and November, the jacarandas transform Pretoria into a purple paradise – a global visual signature for the Capital. The Jacaranda City Awards will bloom during this magical time, aligning the blossoming season with a celebration of Pretoria's brightest and boldest talents.

The Experience

Guests will walk a purple carpet, be greeted with jacaranda-inspired décor and scents, and enjoy a night of live performances, storytelling, tribute showcases, and powerful recognition. Media partners, local dignitaries, celebrities, and fans will all gather to uplift and celebrate Pitori’s finest.
