Terms and Conditions

for Freshers fest Pretoria

Ticket Purchase & Validity

  • Tickets must be purchased through authorized Computicket channels (online or partner outlets) to be valid.

  • Payment is required in full at the time of booking. Accepted methods usually include credit cards, debit cards, and EFT. Tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the person named (for ID-checked events).

  • Tickets must be presented (electronically or in print) at the event entrance along with valid ID if stipulated. Damaged or tampered tickets may be refused entry—with no refund.

2. Refunds, Exchanges, Event Changes

  • In most cases tickets are non‑refundable and non‑exchangeable, except when the event is canceled or significantly rescheduled.

  • If an event is canceled by the organizers, you are typically eligible for a refund of the ticket face value; fees may vary.

  • For individual cancellations (by you), organizers or Computicket may apply reasonable cancellation charges depending on timing.

  • Refund processing is usually done to the original payment method.

3. Entry Conditions & Conduct

  • Entry is at the venue’s discretion, and attendees may be refused admission for non‑compliance with ticket terms or venue rules.

  • Security checks—such as bag inspections—are common. Refusal to comply can result in denial of entry without refund.

  • Prohibited items often include weapons, outside food or drink, professional recording gear, alcohol (if restricted), and other venue‑specific disallowed items. Disruptive or dangerous behavior may lead to removal without refund.

4. Liability & Risks

  • Computicket acts as an agent—the ticket sells you a license to attend, not ownership of an event. You deal directly with the event organizer for any issues.

  • They disclaim responsibility for event safety, attendee conduct, or loss or damage to personal property. Participation is at your own risk.

  • In many event terms, organizers are not liable for injury, theft, or indirect losses.

5. Media, Privacy & Legal Framework

  • Attending often implies consent to being photographed or recorded, which may be used for promotional purposes.

  • Personal information is collected and handled in line with South Africa’s POPI Act for purposes such as fraud prevention and event updates.

  • These terms are governed by South African law, and disputes are usually subject to South African courts.
