Cape Winelands High Schools Drama Festival 2025

The Cape Winelands High Schools Drama Festival 2025 marks the first-ever regional drama showcase dedicated to empowering high school learners through the performing arts.

Organised by Ukukhanya Kwelanga Art Society NPC, this inaugural festival will be held on 9 August 2025 at the Hugo Naudé Little Theatre in Worcester, bringing together schools from Cape Winelands District Municipality

This exciting new platform gives young people the opportunity to:

• Tell their own stories through theatre,

• Build confidence and creativity, and

• Connect across communities through shared cultural expression.

The festival features original learner-created performances, workshops, mentorship, and recognition through awards—all aimed at fostering youth leadership, artistic development, and social impact.

We are proud to launch this festival as a celebration of youth voice, community talent, and the transformative power of the arts.
