Azibuye Emasisweni Cultural Event

Amaviyo Cultural Group is 100% black traditional musical group owned by its organization that is dedicated to promoting black musical artists on various genres of ARTs especially in disadvantage areas. We're committed to support and promote peace amongst people of eThekwini Municipality and Emaphephetheni area to be more precisely. Amaviyo in conjunction with Iziko Art Company (Pty) Ltd; are therefore organizing to host the 8th annual Azibuye Emasisweni Cultural Event which has been organized very successfully for 6 consecutive years since 2013 until 2019 before we were disturbed by COVID 19 pandemic in 2020.

This event offers a good platform to the youth of Emaphephetheni area in ward 2 lower and surrounding areas, to showcase their talents to other event organizers by giving them an opportunity for radio interviews and airplays on different radio stations. Over and above that we also allocate a certain amount of budget to meet them halfway for their transport costs for both activations and main event (festival).

This event has opened doors for so many local musical artists, craft artists and local businesses (SMME's). This year we’re preparing to elevate to the next level by hosting a historic event hence last year we managed to put ourselves on the map of decent organizers and well-organized team, falling under eThekwini Municipality by hosting masterpiece festival during difficult time of Pandemic COVID 19. With no budget we were able to grace our fans with a variety of music from the likes of Bahubhe, Thwasaekhansela, Mthandeni “Igcokama Elisha” Manqele, Babo Ngcobo, Uthando Acarpella, Gubhela, Tau Tona from North-West Province and many others.
