Amenisto Christmas Jam

The Amenisto Christmas Jam (ACJ) is an annual event that combines the talents (creative workers) of  KwaZulu Natal in one floor at eSikhawini Township – Khayalethu Stadium to do positive things during the festive and entertaining the less privileged. With the assistance of two orphanage centers situated under King Cetshwayo District municipality this event brings hope to more than 300 kids.

We believe that not everybody can be at home for Christmas, but that doesn't mean that they cannot celebrate with their own ‘alternative’ family. Whether you are traveling, away with work, in the army, or simply have no nearby relatives; Christmas is about connecting with others to celebrate as part of a collective. So, be it with your neighbors, friends, volunteering, or with others that you know will be alone too this Christmas; reach out to the people around you.

Zakanisto Entertainment believes that At Christmas, the word ‘family’ should be used loosely. It is during these special times such as Christmas, that we are all a family, united in our celebrations and that is why we felt we needed to come up with this event in order to give warmth Christmas day to the less privileged.

The Amenisto Christmas Jam consist of the following:

  - Kids Christmas Celebration

  - Arts and Crafts Exhibitions

  - Comedy and Poet Performances

   - Dance Groups

  - Music Festival

The event takes place at Khayalethu Stadium (eSikhaleni, Ward 20) on the 25th of December annually.

This event serves as a platform for KwaZulu-Natal creative workers where they get a chance to showcase their talents while the less privileged are given a chance to enjoy Christmas equally.
