For centuries humans have been working towards the greater goal of understanding the universe and the natural laws that govern it. Till recently mostly men devoted their time to this endeavor but the eventual emancipation of women also saw them rise in the field of astronomy. Come and meet some of these remarkable women who have made their mark by making some of the greatest discoveries in modern astronomy. Even in times when women were not accommodated on an equal footing to men in the workforce, they overcame their obstacles through sheer determination and a pure passion for astronomy.
