"When good satellites go bad: the problem of space debris" Since 1957 thousands of satellites have been launched into orbit around the orbit. Today over 40,000 objects are currently tracked. Most of these objects are space debris - dead satellites, spent rocket bodies, and parts of satellites that have been broken up. We will give you a tour of the "world's largest junkyard" using the planetarium.
