About this event
Rising Star will take you on an astronomical journey from our beginnings through the development of astronomy research in South Africa to what the future holds for the country and will introduce you to multi‐wavelength and multi‐messenger astronomy! Along the way, it will highlight the many remarkable facilities hosted in South Africa, including the Southern African Large Telescope and the most powerful radio telescope in the Southern Hemisphere, MeerKAT
